If you're a freelance photographer, videographer, or editor, you already know the drill. You finish a project, you send the files over, and then you wait. Sometimes the client pays right away. Sometimes they go quiet for two weeks. Sometimes they download everything through a shared link and you never hear from them again.

That gap between "I delivered the work" and "I got paid for it" is where most freelancers lose money, time, and trust in their own clients. Cutlock exists to close that gap.

What Cutlock Actually Does

Cutlock is a secure delivery platform built specifically for creative freelancers who need to send finished work and get paid for it, without relying on a client's good faith or a patchwork of tools that weren't designed for this problem.

Here's how it works in practice:

You upload your deliverables. Photos, videos, whatever you're handing off. Everything is stored securely and served through fast, reliable infrastructure, so your client isn't waiting around for a slow download link.

Your client sees a watermarked preview first. Before anything is unlocked, the client can review the work exactly as you delivered it. They can leave comments directly on the files, video or photo, so feedback happens in one place instead of scattered across email threads and messaging apps.

Payment happens before the final files unlock. Once the client approves the work, they pay through the platform, and only then do they get access to the full-resolution, watermark-free files. No more sending final exports on trust and hoping an invoice gets paid eventually.

You keep 100% of what you earn. Cutlock connects directly to your own payment accounts. There's no commission taken on top of your rate. The platform is a tool for getting paid safely, not another party taking a cut of your work.

Why We Built This

We didn't build Cutlock because we thought freelancers needed another file-sharing app. There are plenty of those already. We built it because the people we work with, editors, shooters, colorists, people we know personally, kept running into the same problem: doing great work and then having to chase payment for it like a debt collector instead of a professional.

That shouldn't be normal. If you deliver, you should get paid. Cutlock is our attempt to make that the default instead of the exception.

What's Next: Closed Beta

We're getting close to opening up a closed beta, and we'll be announcing the exact date soon. The beta will give a limited group of freelancers early access to the full platform before the public launch, along with direct input into what we build next.

In the meantime, the best thing you can do is join the waitlist. Spots in the closed beta will be limited, and being on the list puts you first in line when we open the doors.

If you're tired of sending final files and hoping for the best, this is for you. Sign up, and we'll see you in the beta.

Be there on day one.

Invites go out in the order people joined. Add your email and keep your place.
